VietJet’s joint venture in Thailand makes debut
Vietnam’s low-cost airline VietJet yesterday launched its joint venture ThaiVietjet in Bangkok, Thailand, at a ceremony with the presence of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Thai Minister of Tourism, and many high-ranking officials of Vietnam and Thailand. At the ceremony VietJet also received the Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Thai Civil Aviation Department, which will enable the airline to offer even more amazing flying opportunities to travelers in Thailand and in the region.
At the event, leaders of both sides acknowledged the launching of the airline as a result of the cooperation and sustainable trade development between Vietnam and Thailand.
“ThaiVietjet was born out of a desire to offer more wonderful flying experiences at the best fares ever. With a modern fleet of brand new aircraft, our professional and friendly flight crew as well as our innovative and creative in-flight activities, I believe ThaiVietjet will soon become one of the most popular airlines in Thailand and across the region. We vow to earn this popularity by showing our utmost respect and care for our valued customers,” said ThaiVietjet Chair Nguyen Thanh Hung.
Nearly 10 million passengers have already flown with Vietjet in Vietnam and across the region over the last three years. By launching this joint venture, Vietjet has taken its first step toward conquering new international markets.
ThaiVietjet will initially operate domestic flights in Thailand and expand its flight network connecting Thailand and other regional destinations in the near future.
With an expanding flight network, Vietjet customers can now enjoy more flights with an even more convenient schedule. Passengers can visit www.vietjetair.com and design their own itinerary by just picking the flight accordingly.
